Apollo 11 moon landing | Swiss solar wind experiment
The Swiss solar wind composition experiment, also known as the solar wind sail, was developed in Switzerland under the direction of Professor Johann Geiss, Director of the Institute of Physics at the University of Bern, and brought to the Moon with the Apollo 11 mission in June 1969. Astronaut Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin himself installed the scientific experiment on the moon's surface. (luk)
