Despite heavy fire in the First World War, the warring countries on the western front in France and Belgium were no longer able to shoot free the way for their own soldiers and thus permanently postpone the course of the front. In response, the trench warfare with the war tactics follows, which allow opponents to "bleed out" by using huge amounts of war material. (luk)
