Swiss Criminal Cases | Josette, the "Last Witch of Geneva" (1961)
Josette Geisser was born with a silver spoon in her mouth: materially spoiled, emotionally neglected. As an adult, she loved race horses, sports cars and men - preferably all together on the Côte d'Azur. After her husband Richard Bauer killed her rich father to satisfy her enormous need for money, Josette was called "the last witch of Geneva". But her conviction for accessory to murder was only a harmless preliminary skirmish compared to what followed: material for a great contemporary thriller that culminated in a veritable affair of state.
