RUSSLAND FEBRUARREVOLUTION
A mourning ceremony for victims of the February Revolution, Russia, 5 April, 1917. The February Revolution led to the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II and the collapse of imperial Russia. A provisional government was established which effectively shared power with the Bolshevik Petrograd Soviet. In October the Bolsheviks overthrew the provisional govenment and seized power themselves.
