DEUTSCHLAND GREGOR GYSI
Gregor Gysi of the ex-communist Party of Democratic Socialism (PDS) is sworn in as a new government for the financial crisis-hit German capital, led by Social Democrats (SPD) with the PDS as their coalition partner, was voted into office January 17, 2002.
