TANSANIA SERENGETI OLDUVAI SCHLUCHT
The Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site found in the eastern Serengeti Plains in northern Tanzania. The gorge is roughly 30 miles long and 295 ft. deep. Rich fossil fauna, hominid remains, and one of the oldest stone tool technologies, Olduwan, can be found in the Olduvai Gorge. (KEYSTONE/Georg Gerster)
