The nursing staff helps a patient to eat an ice cream at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences of the University Hospital in Lausanne, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, on August 25, 2015. After waking up from a coma the patients have to re-learn how to use their hands. Doctor Renaud Du Pasquier's and Karin Diserens' team treat patients after long comas. They do this in the neuroscience wards and also in the therapeutic garden which measures 300 m2. The garden is the first one of its kind in Switzerland and aims to help patients recover by use of an interdisciplinary neurosensorial stimulation.
