The curious population of Utzenstorf examines the tail of an American Boeing B-17 bomber ("Flying Fortress"), which landed on a field next to the village on August 17, 1943, and is transported to the station after the dismantling of the wings and tail unit on August 30. During the Second World War, about 200 foreign military aircraft had to land in Switzerland, crashed or were shot down.
