CORAL BLEACHING EXPNADED ON SEABED IN OKINAWA
A scuba diver examines bleached corals on a seabed off Taketomi island, in the Sekisei Lagoon, the largest coral reefs area in Japan, Okinawa Prefecture on April 23rd, 2017. According to the Environment Ministry, more than 90 percent of coral reefs has become seriously turned white, and it may be extinct by 2070. The ministry issued an emergency statement calling for preserving the damaged coral reefs. Coral bleaching results in the rise of sea temperatures, global warming.
