GOLDMANN OPTHALMOTONOMETER WITH EYE.
Diagnosis of glaucoma. View of a Goldmann non- contact tonometer in use. This type of tonometer directs a short, gentle blast of air against the surface of the eye, and allows the ophthalmologist to view the effect. This gives a good indication of the internal pressure of the eye (intra ocular pressure), and is used in the diagnosis of disorders such as glaucoma. (KEYSTONE/SCIENCE PHOTO/Ralph C.
