ISRAEL FLUGHAFEN BEN GURION
A huge waterfall from the rotunda or plaza area of the departure lounge in the new Terminal 3 at Ben Gurion Airport in Lod adds a unique display to the huge duty-free area on Tuesday, 15 June 2004. The waterfall starts from a domed hole in the center of a huge round roof and is the centerpiece of this new terminal, designed by Moshe Safdi Architects and TRA Architects. Ther new terminal complex cost over 1-billion dollars to build and took six years and will be capable of handling 10-million passengers per year. It is due to open in early November this year.
