JAPAN ERDBEBEN FLUTWELLE UNGLUECK REAKTOR ZONE
epa05167978 A picture dated 17 March 2011 shows tsunami survivors walking in a devasted street with debris piled up on the sidewalk in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, northeastern Japan. The fifth anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake will be marked on 11 March 2016. The 9.0-magnitude earthquake that struck 11 March 2011 and triggered a tsunami claimed the lives of an estimated 15,000 people, and led to a nuclear accident on a level that had not been seen since Chernobyl in 1986. Japan had not seen such death and destruction since the two atomic bombings of World War II. EPA/DAI KUROKAWA
