epa02799354 Tourists from Australia and New Zealand are stuck in the port of Piraeus, Greece, on 28 June 2011 due to a 48-hour general strike, the first in the modern history of Greece. Reports state that millions of Greeks are participating in the strike, that has paralysed Greece, to oppose new heavy austerity measures , part of a Medium-Term Fiscal Strategy Framework 2012-2015 which will be concluded in the parliament plenary at noon on 29 June 2011, followed by a vote in the 300-member unicameral House, while the vote on the fiscal programme's Implementation Law will be held at noon on 30 June 2011.
