ITALIEN FINANZKRISE PROTEST OCCUPY
Police move in as protesters clash with police in San Giovanni's square in Rome on 15 October 2011. Tens of thousands of leftist demonstrators gathered in cities across the world in protest gatherings modelled on New York's 'Occupy Wall Street' movement. Tens of thousands took to the streets in Italy, as organizers anticipated up to 200,000 people at protests in Rome, encouraged by Spain's "Indignados" movement of mostly young people, who months ago began protesting at high unemployment and inequality. Some masked demonstrators set fire to cars as well as Italian and European flags, Italian media reported. (KEYSTONE/EPA/ETTORE FERRARI)
