Schüler einer Istanbuler (damals noch Konstantinopel) Schule demonstrieren auf einem öffentlichen Platz für die Einführung und Akzeptanz der neuen lateinischen Buchstaben, die zum Jahreswechsel 1928/1929 von Mustafa Kemal Atatürk eingeführt wurden. Die Kinder tragen Plakate mit verschiedenen Propaganda-Botschaften, wahrscheinlich wurde die "Demonstration" durch die Schule organisiert.
