The astronomical phenomenon, annular solar eclipse crossed China in the afternoon of 15 January 2010 which is the longest annularity of the next 1,000 years that are visibled in some areas of Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Shanxi, Hunan, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shandong provinces as well as Chongqing municipality in China. The path of the annular solar eclipse begins in central Africa, crosses the Indian Ocean to reach the southern tip of India and moves on to Southeast Asia, ending in eastern China. EPA/WU HONG
