GLICO MORINAGA INCIDENT PROBES FULLY REACH LEGAL DEADLINE
A police investigator is removing a signboard of the special investigation team for the Glico Morinaga incidents at the Hyogo prefectural police's Nishinomiya Station, western Japan, Jan. 13, 2000, as the statute of limitations has run out for the last remaining two of the total 28 blackmail and murder attempt incidents. The blackmailers planted confectionery products poisoned with hydrocyanic acid at retail stores, with their targets including confectionery makers Ezaki Glico Co. and Morinaga & Co.
