TYPHOON FIGHTER PLANE COCKPIT DISPLAY
Typhoon fighter plane cockpit screen display. This is a simulation of a multiple-display screen. The option buttons around the screen allow different data to be displayed. Here, the engine performance is shown. The Eurofighter Typhoon has two Eurojet EJ200 turbofan engines that fly it at speeds of up to Mach 2. The Eurofighter Typhoon, developed as the most advanced fighter jet in the world, is flown by a computerised flight control system. A range of simulators were extensively used to design and test the jet. The Eurofighter is a joint project between the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain. The Eurofighter Typhoon will enter service in 2003. (KEYSTONE/SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY/CHRIS SATTLBERGER)
