Two Mongolian boys wash their hair in a public spring in the Gobi desert. Residents and surrounding nomadic herders of Bulgan, a town on the northern edge of Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park, rely on one of the rare fresh water springs for all their human water needs. Animals are not permited near this water. The water allows Bulgan to grow vegetables nearby as well. (KEYSTONE/CAVAN IMAGES/Ted Wood)
