DEUTSCHLAND RAF DEMONSTRATION 1968
Policemen use watercanons against demonstrators when these try to turn over a waggon during a demonstration in West Berlin, April 12 1968. A series of violent demonstrations followed the attack on Rudi Dutschke, who was shot on April 11, 1968 by Josef Bachmann, a house painter, in broad daylight on Kurfuerstendamm Street in Berlin. Dutschke survived severely injured, but died on December 24, 1979 as a late result of the shooting. He was the leader of the German socialist student association 'Sozialistischer Deutscher Studentenbund', and was an organizer and theorist of the student protest actions.
