RUANDA BUTARE FRAUEN
A group of Rwandan women weave traditional baskets using papyrus reeds and sisal fibers in Kabona, Rwanda, March 12, 2003. For generations, the baskets served as a symbol of family values used as containers for gifts. Recently, the baskets have become more valuable commercially since the Business Council for Peace, a network of American business women, joined forces with Eziba, an internet and catalog retailer of handcrafts from around the world, to give genocide widows access to the $22 billion market for traditional crafts in the U.S. (KEYSTONE/AP Photo/Rodrique Ngowi)
