CHILE ATACAMA QUEBRADA
Quebrada de Camina in the Atacama desert, Chile. Quebradas are the transversal valleys draining the water of the high Andes (produced by snow melt and rain fall) across the Atacama (the world's driest desert) towards the Pacific. With their lush vegetation and intensive agriculture they resemble green serpents. (KEYSTONE/Georg Gerster)
