Nicklas Bendtner of Denmark celebrates after scoring the 2-2 equalizer during the Group B preliminary round match of the UEFA EURO 2012 between Denmark and Portugal in Lviv, Ukraine, 13 June 2012. UEFA opened proceedings Friday June 15th against Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner for revealing the name of an Irish bookmaker on his underpants while celebrating a goal in the Euro 2012 match against Portugal. European football's organizing body said Bendter was being charged for "improper conduct" at Wednesday's group B match in Lviv. UEFA's control and disciplinary body will deal with the case on Monday. UEFA rules ban any advertising on players' kits during the tournament. Bendtner lowered his football shorts to reveal a pair of boxer shorts with the sponsor's name on the waistband after scoring for Denmark. He claimed he did not realize he was breaking any rules. "It is just a pair of lucky boxer shorts that I used in the first game as well and have used before the tournament," he was quoted as saying.
