Jackdaw (Corvus monedula) perched on a post. This bird is 34-39 centimetres in length and is found in northwest Africa, throughout Europe, Iran, northwest India and Siberia. Its main habitat is woodland, cultivated land, coastal cliffs and towns. The jackdaw will scavenge and feed on insects, seeds, grain and washed up fish on the shore.
