POLEN ALLTAG
In this Feb. 5, 2015 photo a car and construction trucks drive past a building in the “Miasteczko Wilanow” housing development in the Wilanow district of Warsaw, Poland. The neighborhood was built about 10 years ago, when hundreds of thousands of Poles were taking out large numbers of mortgages in Swiss francs. The franc has risen dramatically since then, making borrowers' monthly installments in the local currency, the zloty, dramatically higher. Their pain increased after the Swiss national bank unpegged the franc from the euro on Jan. 15, causing a new surge in the Swiss currency. There is a risk that some of the apartments could end up in foreclosure if the franc rises any further. (AP Photo/Alik Keplicz)
