Das von Prof. Erwin Puchinger entworfene Markenbild der neuen Briefmarke, die zur Freimachung von Postsendungen nach dem In- und Ausland bis zum 31. Dezember 1938 Gültigkeit hat, soll die 'Vereinigung des deutschen Volkes' versinnbildlichen und stellt zwei Männer, die gemeinsam ein Hakenkreuzbanner tragen. In der Umrahmung des Markenbildes befindet sich die Inschrift 'Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer - 10. April 1938' und am unteren Rand die Angabe 'Deutsches Reich'. Die Landsgemeinde in Stans, Kanton Nidwalden, aufgenommen im April 1937. Der Ablauf der Stanser Landsgemeinde ist von Symbolen und Ritualen gepraegt. Hierzu gehoeren der Landsgemeindezug durch Stans, das gemeinsame Gebet, die Rede des Landammanns, die Verlesung der Landessatzungen und der Eid. Als Objekte treten das Podium, genannt "Haerdplaettli", die Kantonsfahne, das Landesschwert, der Ratdegen, der Schultermantel, die Landesiegel und das Harsthorn, das sogenannte "Helmi" in Erscheinung.
