SCHWEDEN FILM INGMAR BERGMAN
STOCKHOLM 1963 Swedish director and playwrite Ingmar Bergman has died peacefully in is home at Faro in Sweden 89 years old. Ingmar Bergman directed about 40 films, over one hundred plays and several tv-plays. His international breakthrough came with the film "The Virgin Spring", 1960 which he won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and the year after also with "Through a Glass Darkly".
