"GAMES" BY JULIO ETCHART
A boy hits a piñata doll, at a birthday party, in a refugee camp, in El Salvador. A piñata is a brightly colored paper container filled with candy, toys and so on. It is generally suspended on a rope from a tree branch or ceiling and is used during celebrations. A succession of blindfolded, stick wielding children tries to break the piñata to collect the sweets or toys inside it. It has been a traditional means of entertainment to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, Christmas and Easter, in the South American countries. (KEYSTONE/MAJORITY WORLD/Julio Etchart)
