FRANKREICH PROTEST MAI 1968
Thousands of demonstrators fill the Champs Elysees, answering President Charles de Gaulle's call for support. After weeks of student riots and a general strike de Gaulle fled to a French Military base in Germany. He said we would not resign, but dissolved parliament and called for new elections. General view of Paris demonstration from atop the Arc de Triomphe. May 30, 1968. (CSU_ALPHA_1551) CSU Archives/Everett Collection (KEYSTONE/Everett Collection/)
