Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel (1882 - 1946), last order of the High Command of the Wehrmacht Letterhead "Chief of the High Command of the Wehrmacht - Gen. HQ Wehrmacht - 10th May 1945" - the Berlin address at the Tirpitz riverside crossed out - dated two days after the unconditional surrender in Berlin-Karlshorst by the Chief of the High Command of the Wehrmacht: "All Wehrmacht commodities still remaining in our hands are the property of the German people. They are required to rebuild the economy, trade and infrastructure ... any improper use or illegal sale is regarded as a felony against the own people, offenders or initiators proven guilty are to be punished with death ..."
